about

Clean Break is about breaking up with Nashville when it stopped feeling like home and building a music career proved more difficult than I had planned. Sold my house, belongings and decided to make the road my new home and find my way back to the last place that felt like home; England.

Music and Lyrics by Heidi Burson, Melissa Fuller and Hadar Orshalimy

lyrics

I got a chip on my shoulder. My dreams changed as I got older. I grew up when I got sober. I got over all the pressures of tomorrow because familiar turned to sorrow. Back burner dreams I followed; I couldn't swallow. I'd be catching the blade of my own mistakes if I didn't chase what I was made to do.

So I'm making a clean break, a clean break. Let the past be the past. Nothing holding me back. A clean break.

I cleaned out all my closets. All the drama; I forgot it. Like the history of a town that never noticed me. If home is where the heart is and my heart's across an ocean. The channel tidal pulling me in. I'd be catching the blade of my own mistakes if I didn't chase what I was made to do.

So I'm making a clean break, a clean break. Let the past be the past. Nothing holding me back. A clean break.
