Finding Myself is one of the first songs I ever wrote many years ago but it never had a place until now. I chose to put it on this record because the lyrics are just as accurate now as they were when I wrote them. It's a necessary part of my story unraveling the emotions I had moving to a new place and figuring not only my sound but also who I am.

I've given my heart away one too many times but I was never let down without putting up a fight. There are times when all I do is sit and cry and for awhile now I've been drinking every night.

But that doesn't make me a bad person now does it? We all have troubles from time to time and I like to think I'm just like everybody else. The way I see it I'm just finding myself.

What does it mean when my wine tastes like water and what does it mean when I feel no pain? Why do I now see all the men in my life like they are prizes that I want to be mine?

There's so many roads I don't know which one to choose. Doesn't really matter because I've got nothing to lose.

Now would you believe me if I said I've moved on and that from this experience I really have grown. I'm sure there will still be times when all I do is sit and cry but it's good to know now that I still got my wine :)
